i love to experiment painting on surfaces other than timber.
i have done many metal chairs, but have always wanted to have a go at
doing up some pretty silver plated items.

all these pieces were found in different op shops on one of my
hunting expeditions.
( and i'm planning on doing a little 'hunting today too ;)

yes, all white again, but think some of these would have looked gorgeous
with a lick of pink paint too.
the round tray is quite big and perfect for a tea party or breaky in bed!
the pretty detailed edging shows up beautifully through the white
don't you think?

ReplyDeleteCas.
love that look...what type paint did you use so that it "sticks" well to the metal?
ReplyDeleteAnd to think I threw away some old silver plate trays because they looked so bad! The white really brings out the detail on them.

I too would love to know the steps you went through to get this finish. I picked up a lovely pair of serving dishes with silver plate lids which have seen better days. I would love to do this to them.
