Happy New Year to you all!
We had a great night seeing in the New Year, and enjoyed a BBQ with friends.
After a bit of a sleep in and a slower start to the 1st day of the year, i had a go at making
clay tags. something i've wanted to do for ages!
although they are nowhere near the standard of shop bought ones,
i had so much fun making them.
what you need:
*air dry clay (i got mine from Craft Riot for $7.99 for a 500g bag)
*cookie cutters (on special for $7.99 down from $14.95!)
*a selection of stamps (i found an alphabet set in Kikki K and got some cute animal
*stamps from TYPO that were reduced also)
*rolling pin
*skewer to poke holes through the top of tags
*cake racks for drying
*ribbon & string for hanging
500g clay made 22 tags. that's about 36 cents each!

a perfect finishing touch for a gift.
i made this one by lightly pressing an old doily over the clay

this one was made in the palm of my hand with the last
little bit of leftover clay.
i think it's my fav ;)

These are so cute. I have all the stuff to do these, I just haven't found the time!
ReplyDeleteOh these are just wonderful. I need to try this. Right now I am still cleaning and trying to get this place back in shape. Thanks so much for joining TTT. Hugs, Marty
ReplyDeleteHello,
ReplyDeletei woke up with the same idea; try to realize some clay tags. But I had really no idea what I need. Thanks for telling us.
Best regards from northern Italy.

I have pinned tags to do this year! Yours are so cute!
ReplyDeleteCute tags - I have been meaning to try making some of these for awhile. Maybe this will spur me on to actually do it!
